"N" is not a valid character in the Project 2013 product key

I am installing Project 2013, downloaded from Microsoft Partner Network site.

I paste the product key but I am told that "N" is not a valid character in the product key. What to do?

Hi,

as per this troubleshooting article (for Office2010 but 2013 should be the same) : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/836178

Additionally, a Microsoft Office 2010 product key does not contain any of the following characters:

  • Numbers (0, 1 and 5)
  • Letters (A, E, I, L, N, O, S, U, and Z)

If you try to enter one of these characters in the Product Key box it will not be accepted and a message will appear

What do I do if I get an error after entering my product key?
(Recommended) Let's get started! I want the troubleshooter to help me with this error.

DonPick,

I think you get it.  Your answer appears cleverly crafted. (I am hoping your answer was given tongue in cheek)

"Did this solve your issue? ;No"

means that you too have no clue as to what Microsoft might be thinking.  In my case, it seems they've broken my connection to my GoDaddy Office 365 subscription but linking it to their "onMicrosoft.com" deal when it should be going to outlook.office365.com.

So who is the director, godaddy, myself, or Microsoft.  Since I pay for everything, shouldn't it be me?

Here is my error:

"Cannot start Microsoft Outlook.  Cannot open the Outlook window.  The set of folders cannot be opened.  The attempt to log on to Microsoft Exchange has failed."
